good memories

Aaah, the good ol' computer lab. I am holed up in her (hiddden in a far corner next to a wall, nearly invisible) working on a powerpoint presentation. It brings back memories from working here in the lab, before I had an office. Here is my play list for tonight:

Aerosmith, The Beatles, AD/DC, Bon Jovi, Keane and others who I normally don't listen to, which is a nice change of pace!

My project is to teach others how to correctly use commas. Wish me luck!

Yay computer lab! I liked being able to listen to playlists that others' had downloaded. . .
I think I use commas excessively, although not in this comment- what are some ways that people misuse them?

I also found out that I use commas too often, but oh well!

Commas, which are easy to misuse, have a way of slowing down a sentence, making the reader stop when they might not have to, and also excessively lengthening sentences, leading to more and more run-ons.

Wow- maybe I should post my comma project, so we can all learn more about commas? I'll do that when I have time :)

Yet, Aaron, good use of commas in well-constructed sentences can do more than simple, comma-less sentences ever could. Often I read sentences by "comma minimalists" and become more confused because I don't know when to pause. So it can go either way, and the best writers will transcend all rules.
