Something more . . .
12.12.04 (10:55 pm) [edit]Oh, yeah. Christmas is almost here. I keep forgetting. That may seem silly to some, but I cannot plan three or four days ahead sometimes. So where to go Christmas shopping? Any suggestions?
I want to make something crafty for friends and family, but I am out of ideas. Here are some (successful) Christmas crafts I have made (from scratch) in the past:
* chocolates - placed in handmade, origami-style paper boxes
* homemade soaps
* candles
* chapstick (I really made this, honest)
* Christmas cards (I love using glitter, even though it gets over everything for months!)
* cookies, fudge, etc.
* hot chocolate mix with a mug
* glass ornaments - with paint and glitter on the outside
What is your favorite gift/craft to make? What is your favorite gift to receive?

Hi Hopie, you forgot one of your crafts! This is your Grandma..I got a nice pair of ear rings from you that were the wires for pierced ears . they were hand made by you! These are one of my favorite pairs...

how 'bout cookie mix in a jar? they can look nice layered. I agree w/ your grandma about earrings, and I also think homemade Christmas cards (especially yours) rock! my favorite gift to receive is just about anything- as long as i can see that someone thought about me, that's all that matters. knitting/crocheting is easy to pick up- oh, and fleece blankets- they have kits for those, or you can play around

cookie mix - Thats a good idea! I think you can do that with breads, brownies, cookies, etc. Wouldn't it be fun if all our mixes came in clear jars like that?
