Communication issues

I am glad that God made men and women. However, the differences between the two genders can be extremely confusing at times. I was reminded by a friend of mine tonight that communication between genders can be a difficult and timeconsuming process. It rarely goes as such:

Gwen: Hey, Bobby! I want to tell you something important.

Bob: Yeah, ok. I am here giving you my full attention.

Gwen: Yeah, thanks. I know you didn't really mind me interrupting you and the X-box. You haven't been able to play for 6 hours, but I figure, what the heck - you playing is not really that important!

Bob: Of course not! Who cares if I beat Halo 2 in a record 48 hours. So tell me whats going on . . .

Gwen: Well, I just FEEL . . .

Blah, blah, blah . . . you get the point. Both people are unbelieveably considerate in this conversation (or inconsiderate because Gwen thinks that Bobby playing video games is stupid, when it is important to him, so it should be important to her).

Anyways, communicating is hard. But relationships can be worth it if you are willing to be selfless.

yah, sometimes it's hard to believe that both guys and girls are human, because of how differently we can think and act, but that helps prevent life from being boring, right? I hate fighting or not understanding or being understood, but it's always great to get a new perspective on things. And it's also great to have friends of your own gender and understanding to relate with.

Yeah, new perspectives are nice. In my freelance writing class 2-3 guys joined in this discussion we had about infidelity (who knows how we got on that subject) and one guy argued that an affair doesn't have to be just sexual. He commented that it can be emotional or that the object of the man/woman can be their job. It was very refreshing to hear a few guys talk about being faithful and how it is so important!!! One guy in particular sounded so sincere and concerned about keeping boundaries in relationships- he'll be a great husband for someone someday!

In regard to communication issues; They are always difficult and with the help the devil gives people in mis communicating it makes it even harder. People do not realize how much they listen to the wrong source. Men have a hard time relating to each other; most times is only superficial at best; Jesus said; That you care about the things and approval of men and not the approval of God. Men cling to things which will make them feel like a man. They will never admit it unless they are secure within themselves. Other wise they are ruled by the crowd, and the approval of the mob.
