Waning desire

04.24.05 (2:04 pm)   [edit]

Humph.

I know we only have a week left of school, but I have no desire to finish up my school work. I lost the desire to do any school work about a week and a half ago. Yuck. Anyone have any ideas on how to motivate myself?

I have looked up scriptual references about completing my work. I have tried accountability. I just don't want to do it. Plus summer plans are making me upset right now. I strongly dislike having to wait on others to make up their minds in order to choose and finalize my plans :(

Sorry. This turned into a "gripe session." Sigh. Anyways, time to go force feed my brain homework.

Hey! I know you were kidding - I was kidding, too. Sarcasm or joking cannot be detected through text - too bad, huh?

Collaborated advice from CA: Take a break- enjoy a walk in the park or something invigorating like that (rollerblading?) and then take one thing at a time- when you finish a report or feel prepared for a test, you should feel like you are accomplishing something. Also, I'm sorry that you have to wait on others to know what will happen to you, but if you end up turning things in late or having to ask for extensions from your professors, that not respecting them. If yoú stop everything, not finishing up, that will be a waste, and at some point in your life, you will need to finish those classes. Why not now? I don't know about you, but if my roommate or whoever I'm hanging out with, is doing their work, I can't help but do it, too- and vice versa. I can goof off a lot, but especially when I feel like that the 'normal' or OK thing to do. I'm praying for you, and let me know if there's something I can help you with- you're smart and besutiful and I know you can finish this semester strong!
