Well, you knew better than he or I did, then. They absolutely stabbed him in the back. Certain members of student life basically deceived him into being honest by making it seem like he was not in danger of expulsion. We were completely shocked. He can't even go on the Sweden trip that he has been looking forward to for the last four years. That's a non-refundable $800 ticket, too.
I see us on CourtTV soon. I don't even think that's an exaggeration.

I reread my comment and thought it sounded a little bitter. I didn't mean it to be that way. Neither of us ever wanted it to come to this, but they have left no other recourse. I don't take any joy in the decision that has to be made. But it seems it is either this, or he will lose 4 years of school and all the tuition for those years, because his credits will only transfer to an AG school, and he will never be admitted to any AG school.

To say that he will never be admitted to an AG school is false information, unless he were to apply to every AG school and not get accepted, that is a huge overstatement.

I am slightly confused because I was aware that Tan was going to be kicked out weeks ago. It was an uncofirmed rumor. I wonder if Student Life knew for a long time and withheld that information . . . conspiracy?

Well then I am VERY confused. Please tell me more about this "rumor"--especially who was spreading it. I would like to think that if someone hears a rumor about a friend of theirs, they would talk to that friend before believing the rumor.
But then I am really upset about the whole thing, so my perspective may be skewed right now.

Are you meaning to say that you think student life STARTED the rumor? What made you think it was reliable? Because if you believed it, you had to have thought it was from a reliable source.

I DID attempt to talk to Tan Dave before believing the rumor. I e-mailed him and asked him if it was true. Maybe he doesn't check his school e-mail account, I don't know. But he never responded to it. So I didn't tell anyone about it. Then I found out that indeed, it had happened.

That's weird. He mustn't have received it. Hey, btw, I didn't mean to sound angry at you. This whole situation has just been very upsetting.
Do you know anything else about the rumor--who started it, etc.? Dave would probably like to know.
I hope you have a good summer. :)
